The tools have become incredible—but somewhere along the way, individuality started disappearing. We don’t think technology should replace identity. We think it should amplify it.

Form & Frequency was founded by producer and mixer Marc McClusky after years of making records for artists ranging from Weezer and Bad Religion to Motion City Soundtrack, Ludo, Everclear, and many more.After thousands of sessions, one thing became obvious.Every drummer has a sound. Every engineer has a sound. Every room has a sound.Yet most software encourages everyone to start from exactly the same place.We wanted to build something different. Not another sample library. An engine that lets musicians preserve—and share—the sounds they’ve already created.
